Mountainair Ranger District Begins Fuelwood Permit Sales beginning Tuesday, July 13th

Fuelwood permits can be purchased in person or by phone at the following locations:

Mountainair District Office

Sandia District Office

Cibola Supervisor’s Office

505-346-3900

The Mountainair fuelwood permits are available for dead, down and decked in designated areas only for Ponderosa Pine with mix of Piñon and Juniper.

The permits are being offered at a cost of $2 per cord with 10 cords minimum & maximum per household.

To purchase fuelwood permits by phone, please be prepared to pay with credit or debit card.

The permit, along with a map of the collection areas, will be mailed to you within 1-3 business days.

All cash, personal check or money order sales will be accepted by in person only.
