Cost Share Assistance Program— 50% cost share with a landowner to implement selected conservation practices on their land. Brush Management, Fire Breaks and Forest Stand Improvement will be paid at 50%.
Grant Programs-Various state and federal grants (typically cost share and monitoring) to implement forest health or watershed restoration management techniques
Education Outreach—Various in-class and field support for 8 schools within ESWCD. Activities include rolling river/watershed demonstrations, habitat presentations, agricultural and production presentations, education material handouts, and teacher training.
Technical Support—ESWCD provides technical support to landowners, agencies and cooperators concerning natural resource issues, collaborative efforts, and funding programs.
Native grass and wildflower seeds . The district has native grass and wildflower seeds for sale from March - October
****Property owners living within incorporated limits of the Town of Edgewood or the City of Moriarty do not pay mill levy and therefore are not eligible for ESWCD funded programs or grants. However, technical assistance can still be provided.
